Our management team draws on guidance from an insightful Board of Directors and Medical Advisory Board. Parker H. "Pete" Petit | Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Petit was Chairman and CEO of Matria Healthcare which was sold to Inverness Medical Innovations in May of 2008. Matria Healthcare was a former subsidiary of Healthdyne, which Mr. Petit founded in 1970. Mr. Petit served as Chairman and CEO of Healthdyne and several of its publicly traded subsidiaries after Healthdyne became a publicly traded company in 1981. One of Healthdyne's other subsidiaries, Healthdyne Technologies, was merged with Respironics in 1995, and Respironics was sold in 2008 to Phillips Healthcare.
Mr. Petit received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Science degree in Engineering Mechanics from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA degree in Finance from Georgia State University. At Georgia Tech, Mr. Petit funded a professorial chair for "Engineering in Medicine", endowed the Petit Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience, and assisted with the funding of the Biotechnology Building which bears his name. At Georgia State University, he assisted with the funding of the Science Center building which also bears his name. In 1994, he was inducted into the Technology Hall of Fame of Georgia. In 2007, he was inducted into the Georgia State Business School Hall of Fame. Mr. Petit has previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Research Alliance which is chartered by the State of Georgia to promote high technology and scientific development in the State. He has also previously served on several public company Boards of Directors.

William C. Taylor | President and Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Taylor is an operating executive with over 20 years experience in healthcare product design, development and manufacturing. From 2001 through 2006, Mr. Taylor was President of Facet Technologies, LLC, a Matria Healthcare subsidiary. Facet was a medical device company focused on medical device design, development, and manufacturing for OEM clients such as Abbott, Bayer, BD, LifeScan (J&J), Roche, and Flextronics. Over his 14 year career at Facet and its predecessor company, he held various management positions, beginning with R&D, QA & Regulatory Affairs and progressing through General Management. Mr. Taylor was instrumental in growing the design and manufacturing business from $14 million in revenue up to over $40 million, when the company was sold to Matria Healthcare. As President, he led the company to the number one market position in Microsampling and grew it to over $85 million in revenue. He also led the company as CEO for 18 months after it was sold to a private equity company. A graduate of Purdue University, Mr. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and is co-inventor on eight patents. Mr. Taylor also serves on the Board of Directors

Rebeccah J. C. Brown, PhD | EVP, Product Development

Before joining SpineMedica LLC., Dr. Brown worked as a project manager and staff engineer at SaluMedica, LLC. Dr. Brown also worked with SaluMedica, LLC in her capacity as a graduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where her research focused on the durability of orthopedic devices. Dr. Brown holds a Ph. D. and M. S. from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, and an S.B. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Brown also previously worked at Centerpulse in Winterthur, Switzerland as a research engineer and at Hewlett-Packard as a product/process engineer.

Michael J. Senken | VP and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Senken was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Park-N-Fly, Inc. from August 2007 to September 2009. From August 2005 to August 2007, Mr. Senken was Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Patient Portal Technologies (OTCBB:PPRG). From June 2005 to August 2005, Mr. Senken was a consultant for JC Jones LLC. From 2002 to 2004, Mr. Senken was Senior Vice President & General Manager-Broadband Consumer Lifestyle for Philips Consumer Electronics. Prior thereto, Mr. Senken was employed by Philips Broadband Networks, serving as Senior Vice President & General Manager from 1996-2002, as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1986 to 2002, and as Controller from 1983 to 1986. From 1980 to 1983, Mr. Senken was an auditor for Philips Electronics North America.

Michael W. Carlton | VP of Sales & Marketing

Mr. Carlton most recent role prior to joining MiMedx Group was at Synthes Spine from 2008 through December 2009, where he was Neuro and Orthopedic State Manager for Georgia, with a 14 person sales force reporting to him. His role prior to Synthes Spine was at Abbott Vascular, a company he joined in May 2000 as a Regional Manager and was promoted to Director of Sales, Eastern Area in April 2003. He assumed his role as National Director of US Sales in November 2004. Mr. Carlton was responsible for 14 regions, and a sales force of 185 representatives. Prior to that role, he was responsible for all US commercial operations, marketing, and customer service. Before joining Abbott Vascular, he served in multiple management roles at Boston Scientific for six years and at Kendall Vascular for four years. Mike is a graduate of Miami University, Oxford OH with a B.A. in Marketing.

John Daniel | President, Surgical Biologics

John possesses 18 years of experience with bioimplant medical device products, and is considered an expert in all aspects of Tissue Banking. Prior to founding Surgical Biologics, he was the founder of Zoom Innovations, a consultancy company specializing in a wide range of bioimplant disciplines. While at Zoom Innovations, John managed the start-up of two new companies, both of which have proven to be successful beyond expectations. John assisted other companies reach major milestones, including accreditations, efficiencies and increases in profitability. Prior to founding zoom innovations, John was the Executive Director of Tutogen Medical. While John served as Executive Director, Tutogen increased revenue from $2M to $25M in four years. In the same period, Tutogen launched many new products for surgical applications new to the company. Prior to his stay at Tutogen Medical, John was technical design engineer at Regeneration Technologies, where he designed cleanroom work areas, new manufacturing equipment and new manufacturing processes.

Thomas J. Koob, PhD | Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Thomas Koob, our Chief Scientific Officer and the inventor on the patents that are the basis of the Company's license agreement with Shriners and the University of South Florida, received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He completed four years of post-doctoral training at Harvard Medical School and four years of specialty training in the Laboratory of Skeletal Disorders, Department of Orthopaedics at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Boston. As Section Chief of Skeletal Biology at Shriners Hospital for Children in Tampa, a position he held for fourteen years, he developed and patented the Company's core technology. He has published over 125 biomedical and biological articles and 12 book chapters.

Thornton Kuntz | VP, Human Resources & Administration

Mr. Kuntz formed Austin Consulting Group, LLC in September 2009 where he currently serves as its President. In October 2009, he began his association with MiMedx Group providing advisory services to the Company. In January 2010, his services were expanded to include serving MiMedx in the position of Vice President of Human Resources & Administration on a part-time basis. Mr. Kuntz served with Matria Healthcare, Inc. and Healthdyne, Inc. from August 1992 until May 2008. From May 2008 through August 2009, Mr. Kuntz served as Executive Vice President for Alere, a subsidiary of Inverness Medical Innovations which acquired Matria Healthcare ( Matria ) in May 2008. Mr. Kuntz served Matria as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer from March 2006 until May 2008, as Vice President of Administration from February 1998 until March 2006, and as Vice President of Human Resources from the March 1996 formation of Matria (the merger of Healthdyne Maternity Management and Tokos Medical Corporation) until February 1998. Mr. Kuntz earned a bachelor's degree in management from the University of New Orleans in 1975.

Roberta McCaw | VP and General Counsel

Ms. McCaw has been a Consultant to the Company since January 2009. From 1996 to 2008, Ms. McCaw served as General Counsel and Secretary of Matria Healthcare, Inc., a publicly traded healthcare and medical device company. Prior to joining Matria, Ms. McCaw was a partner in a Connecticut-based law firm. She is a graduate of University of Connecticut School of Law. Prior to law school, Ms. McCaw studied accounting at Miami University and Cleveland State University, and worked as a Certified Public Accountant.

Randall Spencer | Director of Product Development

Randall Spencer ‐ Director of Product Development: Randall has been in the bioimplant industry since its infancy, with over 23 years of experience. He is an industry expert in the development of new products and new surgical treatments using bioimplant materials. Throughout his career, Randall has made significant contributions to the development of a wide range of products which are now considered the standard of care for certain surgical procedures. At Tutogen Medical, Randall designed products used in spinal and dental surgeries. While at Regeneration Technologies, Randall created products which are used in spinal, sports medicine and orthopedic surgeries. Randall worked for Johns Hopkins University as a researcher. Randall earned a Health Science Bachelors of Science from Central Michigan University.
