Hydrofix® Overview
MiMedx Group is commercializing innovative products based on the Company's patented and proprietary durable hydrogel technology, HydroFix®, a biocompatible material that mimics the properties of soft tissue. It can be manufactured with variable material properties that allow the strength and stiffness to be tailored to the implant application. In specific formulations the material may prohibit cellular attachment and tissue in-growth.
Today, MiMedx is concentrating in Orthopedic, Spine, and General Surgery specialties, each area being a high growth market driven by aging demographics and unmet medical needs. Our focus has been on applying the HydroFix® technology to spinal and orthopedic applications; however there are many other exciting market opportunities for the HydroFix® material which the Company will pursue.
